LEWISTON – Elizabeth Timberlake, 90, of Turner, passed away peacefully at Marshwood Center on Dec. 23, 2023.
She was born on June 5, 1933, a daughter to Wallace and Bernice (Daniels) Howe. She was raised in Turner, attending local schools and graduating from Leavitt Institute in 1951. She was married to her loving husband, William Timberlake, for almost 70 years before his passing in 2023.
In her working years, Elizabeth was a bookkeeper for multiple companies such as Sears, Olfene’s, Roundhouse and Twitchell’s Airport. She was also a part owner of Taber’s Restaurant and Mini Golf with her husband, brother and sister-in-law.
In her spare time, she loved painting, knitting, playing card games and spending winters in Florida.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her loving husband and her parents.
She is survived by her son Samuel Timberlake; her sisters Eleanor Fish and Veronica Carbonneau and husband Claude, her brother-in-law Stanley Timberlake; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Marshwood Center for all the care they gave Elizabeth.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring at a later date.
