Stanley Coy
AUBURN – Stanley Coy, 81, of Auburn passed away on Dec. 27, 2023 with family by his side. He was born Jan. 3, 1942, the son of Florence and Gilbert Coy.
Stan was married to the love of his life Patricia Coy and raised four daughters in Auburn.
He will be remembered for the amazing role he played in his family. Not only was he the most supportive and loving father, he loved and supported his grandchildren like no other. He attended many, many games, drove his grandchildren and great-grandchildren to many events, and taught all of his family the importance of patience, kindness, and having a strong work ethic. He will also be remembered for his Dad jokes and being a creature of habit. He was the best Dad and Grandpa you could ask for!
After serving four years in the Air Force, he worked in the plumbing and heating business. He was the proud owner of S & D Plumbing and Heating. He devoted many years to servicing customers in the Lewiston and Auburn area. During 33 of those years, he serviced Lepage Bakery. He enjoyed the many connections he made with other professionals in the plumbing and heating industry.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter Donna Decker of Augusta, daughter Debbie Tash of Georgia, daughter Janet Coy and partner John Jefferson of Auburn, daughter Carol Coy and partner Keith Landry of Oxford; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will be having a private celebration.
