MV Rec League, Hotel Rumford 4-0
The Hotel Rumford is off to a fast start, undefeated, and defending their last year’s crown. Recently, Sunday, 12/24 at MVMS, they pummeled Sticks n Stones (0-4), 98-26 and it could have been worse. The Hotel got strong contributions from Tom Danylik, 29 points, Zach New 26 (6 threes), and Bryan Canwell, 10. Cody Dolloff and Conner Skillings each had 9 points for S n S.
Next, A & G Custom Builders (3-1) outlasted Dixfield (1-3) in a well-contested game, 97-87, with the winners pulling ahead later in the second half. For A & G, the top scorers were Mateo Lapointe, 29 points (6 threes), Hunter Meeks, 22, and Malik Farley, 12. Dixfield got contributions from Arick Richard 25 points (5 threes), Jake Bessey, 21 (3 threes), Gavin Hebert and Cam Godbois, 18 each.
At MVHS, Clean Cut Painting (2-2) outlasted Smart Care PT, Inc (1-3), 78-74. The winners were led by Will Bean with 19 points, Javin Smith, with 16, Pat Connery, 11, and Mike Pare, with 10. Smart Care’s Clay Swett had 23 points (4 threes), followed by Dakota Thompkins with 20 (5 threes), and Trent Hutchinson, with 13 (3 threes).
Finally, Mt Blue (3-1) held off Jay (2-2) in a good match-up, 71-63. Mt Blue’s Cam Sennick led his team with 28 tough inside points and was helped by another 22 (6 threes) from Zach Farnham. Jay was paced by Steve Dougher 20 points (4 threes), and Jake Turner with 14 (4 threes).
