Rebels fall to St. Dom’s
Telstar Varsity Rebels lost to St. Dom’s, 76-29, on Thursday, December 21, despite 10 points from Reilley Hedden. Leading 19-14, St. Dom’s went on a 15-2 run to pull further away. Leading 59-25, St. Dom’s went on a 15-point run to pull further away.
Telstar rebounded the ball well, collecting 33 rebounds. Brody Morgan led the team with nine rebounds. Reilley Hedden hit two threes for the Rebels. Also contributing for Telstar were Brody Morgan (8 points), Wyatt Lilly (4 points), Connor Deprey (4 points), Filip Nesic (2 points), and Johnny Marshall (1 point).
Rebels win over Sacopee
After nine lead changes, Telstar Varsity Rebels emerged victorious over Sacopee, 60-48, on Thursday, December 28. Reilley Hedden scored 25 points to lead Telstar Varsity Rebels.
The game was tied at 30 when Telstar went on a 10-1 run to take the lead. The game was tied at 30 at halftime before the Rebels pulled out the victory in the second half. Leading 43-36, Telstar went on an 11-point run to pull further away. The Rebels had seven assists in the third quarter, as they outscored Sacopee, 24-6.
Reilley Hedden, Wyatt Lilly, and Connor Deprey each hit multiple three-pointers for the Telstar Rebels. The team shot 12-31 (39%) from beyond the arc. Telstar controlled the paint, grabbing 32 rebounds. Brody Morgan led the team with seven rebounds. The Rebels passed the ball with 17 assists on 21 made baskets. Telstar pressured the ball all game, collecting 15 steals. Brody Morgan led the team with three steals. Additional scorers for Telstar included Brody Morgan (14 points), Wyatt Lilly (7 points), Connor Deprey (7 points), Johnny Marshall (4 points), and Kimball Coolidge (3 points).
