Nonstop Nordic is a volunteer-run organization that developed a series of Nordic ski races when the COVID-19 pandemic put a stop to high school races last winter. Good Times Roll was the first roller ski race hosted by Nonstop, but it won’t be the last, Nonstop founder Emily Cartwright said. Clare Egan congratulates Kyle Dancause after Dancause finished the Good Times Roll roller ski race Friday in Cumberland. Egan graduated from Cape Elizabeth High School and is a member of the United States Biathlon Team. She competes in World Cup races and has already qualified for the 2022 Winter Olympics that will be held in Beijing. “These races build the community that you need for support,” said Egan. “You need these races to say ‘this is why I am training.’ It’s a huge deal to have these summer races,” said Egan.
