Lewiston Public Library plans to host a Two-Sentence Horror Story Contest for the public to participate in both online and in person.
This free, public contest offers the opportunity to win one of three gift card prizes, and will accept submissions Oct. 1-31. Voting will occur from Nov. 1-14 at the 200 Lisbon St. library, on Pine Street.
Stories can be submitted at lplonline.org/events/2-sentence-horror or in person at the reference desk on the second floor of the library. Community members will vote for their favorite story to choose the winner. Voting will be available online and in person at the library starting on Nov. 1.
The three stories with the most votes will win a Hannaford gift card: $50 for first place and $25 for second and third runners-up. Only one story per person may be entered into the contest.
All stories submitted must be original work and appropriate for display in the library and on social media.
This contest is free and open to everyone. Contest rules are available on the library’s website and at the reference desk.
For more information or to enter the contest, contact the library at lplreference@lewistonmaine.gov or 207-513-3135.
