In all human history, government takeover has never been truly beneficial to the lives of the people.
We all should be fearful of giving the government even more control over our lives. It already has way too much. That’s why I oppose the government taking over and running Maine’s electric companies.
A government-run electrical company will know all our detailed private information, and we will be mandated to hand it over to power our houses and live our lives. Not just credit scores and financial information, but also detailed information such as when we’re home and when we’re not, what time we get up and what time we go to bed.A new utility, controlled by the government, will have too much power hanging over us — figuratively and literally.
