WALES — Oak Hill’s Jackson Arbour threw a no-hitter and struck out seven batters in Oak Hill’s 10-0 win over Mountain Valley in a Mountain Valley Conference baseball game on Thursday.

Jackson pitched six innings and walked only three batters.

The Raiders (9-5) erupted with five runs in the first inning and cruised the rest of the way. Trent Drouin had two hits and drove in thee runs. Arbour and Ethan Vattaso also had two hits each.

MT. ABRAM 9, MONMOUTH 4: Winning pitcher Trevor Phelps struck out eight batters, and Kayden Pillsbury had three his, including a double, and drove in two runs as the Roadrunners (11-2) sailed past the Mustangs (12-3) in Monmouth.

Phelps also had a hit and drove in two runs, and Ian Allen doubled and drove in a pair of runs for Mt. Abram.

Monmouth’s Matt Marquis had two hits.

The Roadrunners, winners of seven straight, have dealt the Mustangs two of their three losses this season.

LISBON 10, BOOTHBAY 0: Levi Tibbetts drove in three runs as the Greyhounds (14-0) stayed undefeated with a six-inning win over the Seahawks (1-12) in Lisbon.

Mason Booker got two of Lisbon’s seven hits, and Caleb Phillips notched a double.

Starting pitcher Jimmy Fitzsimmons struck out six in four innings before Jack Ramich came in to pitch the final two innings for the Greyhounds.

SOFTBALL
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 9, OAK HILL 3: The Falcons (6-8) supplied 18 hits and erupted for eight runs in the sixth inning to overpower the Raiders (7-7) in Wales.

The Falcons entered the top of the sixth down 2-0. They added an insurance run in the seventh.

Mallorie Bourret went 3-for-3, winning pitcher Ali Legere and Ali Mazza had three hits apiece, and Emma Clukey doubled twice for Mountain Valley.

Oak Hill, which had 10 hits, scored two runs in the fourth on a base hit by Kelsey Young and a deep, inside-the-park home run by Eli Smith.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 14, TELSTAR 10: Emma Towers had three hits and an RBI and Jadyn Pingree doubled twice and drove three runs, leading the Phoenix (5-10) to victory over the Rebels (5-10) in Bethel.

Spruce Mountain, which had 13 hits, took control by scoring nine runs in the first three innings (two in the first, four in the second and three in the third), then capped its scoring with two in the sixth and three in the seventh.

Mallory Clark got the win on the mound after going 3 1/3 innings before being relieved by Pingree.

Makenzie Eliot led the Rebels with two hits.

BOYS LACROSSE
MT. ARARAT 9, EDWARD LITTLE 6: The Eagles (8-3) held off a charging Red Eddies (2-9) team to get the win in Auburn.

Kaiden Getchell led Mt. Ararat with five goals, while teammate Zander Kirk scored a pair.

Edward Little was paced by Wesley Clements’ five goals. Tyler Smith also scored a goal.

GIRLS LACROSSE
BRUNSWICK 13, LEWISTON 6: Elizabeth Putnam scored four goals and Ella Gufstason and Hannah Lay each turned in a hat trick in the Dragons’ (5-6) victory over the Blue Devils (2-8) in Lewiston.

Brunswick grabbed control early and jumped out to a 8-2 lead by halftime.

Becca Lussier led the Blue Devils with five goals, and Mya Grant scored one. Lilly Gish chalked up two assists.

TRACK AND FIELD
KVAC MEETS MOVED: Due to inclement weather in Saturday’s forecast, the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference adjusted its championship meet schedule.

All three meets — Large, Medium and Small School — will be held Friday.

Messalonskee will host the Large School meet, while Cony will host the Small and Medium School meets.
