LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus, the Area Agency on Aging for Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Education Center at the SeniorsPlus office on 8 Falcon Road from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m Thursday, Aug. 20.

State Sen. Margaret Craven will be on hand to cut the ribbon. Portland speaker Susan Arledge will give the keynote address on “Ages 0 to 100, Learning Never Grows Old.”

Representatives from SeniorsPlus will be on hand to answer questions and to give tours of the equipment and resources available.

The Education Center will offer classes and workshops of interest to older adults, important information to make educated decisions, wellness classes, new learning opportunities such as art classes and creative writing, said Connie Jones, director of Community Services. Classes will be conducted by community partner agencies and SeniorsPlus staff, she said.
