Q&A
Define what “success” would look like if you are elected to serve your district.
All success will begin with jumpstarting and rehabilitating our economy. Without a strong, stable economy, meaningful progress is impossible. It should not be forgotten that the unending streams of “giveaway” money from Augusta are taxpayers’ hard-earned dollars.
We must prioritize containing inflation and making sure that Maine families are not upended by the skyrocketing costs of food, fuel, electricity and heating oil.
We need to get people back to work and return to our proud roots of being a state of productivity and progress. Seeing firsthand how runaway addiction and consequent crime hollow out the potential of our families, workforce, businesses and communities, the initiative I most look forward to spearheading will be increasing the availability of and access to addiction and mental health treatment to those who wish to reclaim their lives and become fully engaged members of society.
Education is the backbone of our success. Access to quality education is a must for all of Lewiston students.
Characterize your view on public access to governmental business.
State agencies, bureaucrats and legislative committees must do a much better job notifying stakeholders and the general public of changes and decisions in order to allow and encourage them to provide meaningful, timely input that is taken into account throughout the decision-making process.
