Market, auction
CASCO — The annual Flea Market & Auction Board will take place Saturday, July 9. Rain date is July 16.
Nearly 30 years ago, the Casco Village Church United Church of Christ kicked off what would become a summer tradition in the Lake Region area, the much-anticipated “Always the second Saturday in July” Flea Market & Auction Board. It is the largest fundraiser of the year for the church on Route 121 in Casco Village. With more than 50 vendors, unique and valuable auction board items up for bid, plants and flowers, children’s activities and refreshments from the moment it opens at 8 a.m. to closing at 1:30 p.m., it is by far the area’s biggest and best flea market and auction of the summer.
It takes place on the Village Green, right across from the Casco Village Church United Church of Christ, 941 Meadow Road (Route 121).

Planning March
AUBURN — Approximately 400 residents joined together in support of the smallest citizens of Lewiston/Auburn — babies — by participating in March for Babies this spring to benefit the March of Dimes. The Hilton Garden Inn was packed with strollers, families and teams to celebrate raising nearly $40,000 to help babies be born healthy.
Money raised from the event funds research, awareness, education and local community grants for programs throughout the state of Maine.
