The VFW in Jay plans to host a trunk or treat event for the community from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at 64 Jewell St.

A Halloween dance also is scheduled for members and guests from 6 to 10 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m.; costumes are optional.

Music will be provided by North County.

The cost is $6 or singles or $10 per couple.
