Carlee-Mae Cash, a senior at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in South Paris, stopped by the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine in Norway just before Christmas to present a box of assorted comfort items for cancer patients.
Students collected those items — such as hats, scarfs, blankets, puzzle books, games, socks and ear warmers — during a holiday drive organized by the OHCHS National Honor Society, of which Cash is the current president, according to a news release from the center.
In 2022, this same National Honor Society chapter presented the center with a check for $4,000, the total raised by students as a result of year-long fundraising activities.
