MEDFORD, Mass. — Meghan Graff set the Bates College women’s basketball program’s record for career points, but the Bobcats fell short in overtime, 84-75, against Tufts on Saturday.

Graff scored a game-high 44 points — one shy of her single-game program record — to pace the Bobcats (8-8, 1-3 NESCAC). She entered the game needing 22 to pass Emily King to set the record for career points. King, who graduated in 2000, finished her career with 1,478 points. Factoring in Saturday’s season-high output, Graff’s career total now stands at 1,507 points.

Alexandra Long was the next-highest Bates scorer, with nine points.

Maggie Russell led the Jumbos (12-5, 3-1 NESCAC) with 33 points.

HUSSON 101, UMF 36: Bailey Donovan and Vanessa Duarte combined to score 30 points as the Eagles (13-5, 7-0 NAC) rolled past the Beavers (2-15, 1-7 NAC) in Bangor.

It was the second lopsided victory for the Eagles over the Beavers in as many days, following Friday’s 87-51 win.

Donovan scored a game-high 16 points and Duarte was right behind with 14.

Maddy White paced University of Maine at Farmington with 10 points and Grace Dwyer added eight.

MAINE 50, BINGHAMTON 46: Jaycie Christopher hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 3:02 remaining, and Maine went on a 9-0 run in the fourth quarter to rally past Binghamton in an America East contest in Vestal, New York.

Adrianna Smith led Maine (9-9, 5-1 America East) with 17 points, 15 rebounds and four steals. She clinched the victory by making a pair of free throws with three seconds left.

Caroline Bornemann scored four of her eight points during the Black Bears’ late run.

Genevieve Coleman scored 16 points for Binghamton (10-10, 3-4).

MEN’S BASKETBALL
UMF 76, HUSSON 58: The Beavers (11-7, 7-1 NAC) pulled away in the second half to down the Eagles (7-11, 5-2) for the second time in two days, this time in Bangor.

UMaine-Farmington defeated Husson 82-76 on Friday. On Saturday, the Beavers led 29-28 at halftime then outscored the Eagles 47-30 in the second half.

UMF’s Terion Moss topped all scorers with 27 points. Jack Kane added 12 points and Zachary Mickle had 11.

Justice Kendall led Husson with 15 points, wile Luke Caruso contributed eight.

BATES 67, TUFTS 63: Elliott Cravitz’s 22 points paced the Bobcats (7-10, 1-3 NESCAC) to victory over the Jumbos (13-4, 2-2 NESCAC) in Lewiston.

Cravitz, a freshman, made 6 of 12 from 3-point range. Steph Baxter added 18 points and Devin Harris had 14 for Bates, which overcame a 32-25 halftime deficit by outscoring Tufts 42-21 in the second half.

The Jumbos were led by Dylan Thoerner’s 18 points. Trumann Gettings also reached double figures with 11 points.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY
MAINE 2, BOSTON COLLEGE 1, OT: Mira Seregely scored her second goal of the game in overtime as the Black Bears (12-14-1, 9-10-1 Hockey East) beat the Eagles (14-11-1, 12-9) in Orono.

Caroline DiFiore was the goal scorer for Boston College. Anna Larose stopped 36 shots for Maine, while Abigail Levy made 29 saves for the Eagles.
