RUMFORD — A garage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 1-5 and Aug. 8-12 at Hope Association, corner of Lincoln Avenue and Hancock Street. Fill a bag of clothing for $5. The garages are located on the Hancock Street side of the building.
Art at library
ANDOVER — The Pennacook Art Center will show art Saturday, Aug. 6, in the Andover Library for Andover Olde Home Days. The library hours will be 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Church auction
BETHEL — The West Parish Congregational Church on Church Street will hold an auction at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6. Preview of the items will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Kids workshop
LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center will offer a free cancer education workshop for kids ages 2-6. “Tales with Tookie and Michelle” will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at CMMC, 12 High St., Conference Room I.
Tookie Bright, children’s program coordinator, and guest storyteller Michelle Small will share stories that educate, inspire and provide an opportunity for youngsters to ask questions about cancer. Families are encouraged to attend.

Hutchinson family
CARTHAGE — The 101 Hutchinson Family Reunion will take place Saturday, Aug. 13, at the former Webb River Grange Hall. The family will gather for greetings at 11:30 a.m. followed by a potluck lunch at noon. A meeting, entertainment and auction are planned for the afternoon.
