The largest snowmobile hill climb in the East returns to Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley, Maine on April 21st – 22nd, 2023. Save the date! Lakeside Dance Academy Spring Dance Concert: Let Me Entertain You
The Lakeside Dance Academy will present their Annual Spring Dance Concert at 7:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, April 28 & 29 at the RFA Lakeside Theater on Main St. in Rangeley.
It will be an evening showcasing the work of over 40 dancers of all ages and is sponsored by the Rangeley Friends of the Arts. Dancers ranging in ability from beginner to advanced will perform in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and en Pointe.
The Lakeside Dance Academy has been providing dance instruction since 1986 under the Artistic Direction of Pam Ellis. Lily Webber, a graduate of the Academy, teaches the pre-school Creative Movement class. The Rangeley Friends of the Arts has provided support through the years via their Scholarship and Student Lessons Program.
There will be a reception to celebrate the dancers in the theater lobby after the concert each night. Please come and enjoy their work and their art.
Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for students 7 – 18. Children 6 and under are free.

Rangeley Birding Festival
From Boreal Chickadees in our vast forests to Loons on our magnificent lakes to the rare Bicknell’s Thrush in the high peaks above, the Rangeley Region is rich with birds. Add in both migrating and breeding warblers, and you have a unique opportunity to see and learn about birds that are difficult to find in other parts of Maine, all in one weekend!
Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust will open daily at 5:30 AM to assist you. When you arrive in town, check in at Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust, the Headquarters for the RBF. We’ll have a nametag, hard copy directions, and answers to your questions.
Transportation: RBF will not provide transportation. Trips will meet at the site.
Group Sizes: Birding Trips are limited to 10 participants and two guides. The one exception is the Birds & Brews event at Parkside & Main, which can host up to 20 participants.
Please note: Trips will be finalized on April 1, 2023.

The White Nose Pete Fly Fishing Festival begins Friday June 16th, with a reception at the Rangeley Inn & Tavern at 6:00 PM. There will also be a live auction with all sorts of fly-fishing goodies. The auction proceeds will benefit The Chamber of Commerce as well as Reel Recovery, a national non-profit organization that conducts FREE FLY FISHING RETREATS for men living with all forms of cancer. The Festival on Saturday June 17th 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM at The Rangeley Inn, will include arts, books, gear, tying & casting lessons, the chance to try gear from top manufacturers, conservation groups, raffles and much more! More information as the event grows closer!

Summer Series: Walk the Woods – Rangeley River Trail

This short section of shared-use trail provides access to the shores of the Rangeley River and Mooselookmeguntic Lake for hikers, anglers, bikers and snowmobilers. Two stream-side picnic tables and a 0.5-mile side trail to the lake allow trail users to explore the Rangeley River area at their own pace. After crossing the river at its northern terminus, visitors can venture down the narrow gauge railroad bed which runs across the steep opposite bank of the river.
