POLAND — The Select Board on Tuesday evening accepted a $10,882 bid from On the Line Inc. of Bangor to line stripe 10 roads.
They are: Plains, North Raymond, Hackett Mills, Lewiston Junction, Hardscrabble, Schellinger, Range Hill, Johnson Hill, Tripp Lake and Herrick Valley roads.
The only other bidder was Poirier Guidelines of Athol which offered to do the work for $12,770.
Regarding upcoming town elections, nomination papers must be filed by 4 p.m. Friday, April 14, at the Town Office.
Positions available are a selectperson for three years; two Regional School Unit 16 directors for three years each and two Budget Committee members for three years each.
The election is June 13.
