Comedians Johnny Ater, Mike Gray, Mike Levinsky, Brett Groh and host Ann-Marie Keene will deliver another First Friday standup comedy show presented by Cat’s Meow Comedy starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, at Rusty Bus Brewing in Lewiston.
Ater is the winner of the 2022 Maine’s Wicked Funny Laugh-Off competition. He’s appeared on The Nite Show with Danny Cashman, at The Punchline comedy club in San Francisco, Bricks and Bridges Comedy Fest, and has headlined at the Maine Comedy Festival in Bethel. Life-long local and arguably Maine’s funniest down-home comedian, Ater offers up hilarious and honest stories about life, family, relationships, work, and his colorful local friends, which he brings to life on stage for all to meet – but it’s his rubber face that you’ll be talking about for days after his performance.
Gray is living proof that a horrible childhood can be turned around into an equally horrible adulthood. He’s been performing throughout New England for about 6 years, although he’d rather not count 2020. It has been said that “he has a clear character” and “…a distinct voice for dark humor.” He was a finalist in New England’s Best Bar Comic competition in 2017, performed at the Portland Maine Comedy Fest, Bricks and Bridges Comedy Fest, and has competed in Last Comix Standing.
This show is Pay-What-You-Can and is for ages 21 and up. Rusty Bus Brewing is located at 120 Lisbon St., Lewiston.
