The 200-year old church, the first Christian church in Lahaina, is one of several that burned in the wildfires.

The menu will include roast pork, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, applesauce and homemade pies for dessert for $12 per plate.

The dining room is handicapped accessible by using the elevator entrance on Mitchell Street. Takeout will also be available at 5:30 p.m. Call 207-364-8603. — No name, Mexico

ANSWER: The supper sounds yummy — there’s nothing like roast pork and applesauce!

This is a wonderful way to reach out to those affected by the terrible wildfires in Maui. Thank you for doing this. I hope the turnout is tremendous!

ANSWER: I love the name of your sale. It’s just what folks need: a little bit of everything. I’ll tell you a little secret —homemade fudge is always a big draw for me! I’ll be on the lookout.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: This is in response to a recommendation for an elder law attorney which appeared in Sun Spots on Aug. 23.

My brother and I recently worked with Mia Poliquin Pross of the Elder Law Office of Kienitz & Pross, P.A. in Lewiston. She answered all our questions and listened intently to our particular circumstances and what we wanted to accomplish.

She fully addressed what a trust can and cannot do and listed what we needed to accomplish in order for her to prepare the documents needed. She was able to prepare a will and various power of attorney documents and responded to my email promptly, making a daunting task as painless as possible. I highly recommend her. — Mary Ann, Auburn

ANSWER: Thank you for making the time to respond, Mary Ann. I have been hearing good things about this firm too, but there’s nothing like a detailed personal recommendation from a Sun Spotter.

You can reach this office through its website at https://elderlawmaine.com/, or by calling 207-783-8500. It is at 443 Main St., Suite One, in Lewiston.

I encourage readers to send in their recommendations. I’m sure there are hundreds of baby boomers out there in Sun Spots Land who have been through the process and have words of wisdom to share. You’ll also be nudging people to get going if they have been thinking about getting this important life planning underway.

The more in the Rolodex, the better!
