LEWISTON — Brady Truman led a potent Oxford Hills passing attack in the reigning Class A champ’s 43-0 season-opening win over Lewiston on Friday.

Truman threw for 258 yards and four touchdowns. Brady Delamater and Brayden Murch each had two touchdown catches.

Nicholas Binette caught a 48-yard TD from Truman in the first quarter for a 7-0 lead.

Murch had his first touchdown in the second quarter, catching a 20-yard pass from Truman for a 14-0 Oxford Hills advantage.

Delamater and Murch had TDs in the third quarter to extend the Vikings’ lead to 29-0.

Hunter Tardiff led the Vikings’ ground attack with nine carries and 47 yards while scoring from six yards out in the fourth quarter for a 36-0 lead. Delamater caught an 18-yard pass from Carter Wyman to cap the scoring.

The Blue Devils were held to 104 total yards of offense. Lewiston’s defense recovered two fumbles in the second quarter. Deion Jackson forced one that was recovered by Kenny Foss, and JJ Durr and Joseph Dube combined to force another that was recovered by Jayden Brown. Also, Michael Klick returned a kick 48 yards in the opening quarter.

LEAVITT 45, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 8: Will Keach ran for two touchdowns and caught another for Leavitt (1-0) in the victory against the Raiders (0-1) in Turner.

Leavitt quarterback Noah Carpenter threw for a TD and ran for another.

Carpenter and Keach each had a rushing TD in the first quarter to give Leavitt a 14-0 lead.

In the second quarter, Keach caught an 80-yard pass from Carpenter for a 21-0 advantage. Carpenter added a 31-yard kick to extend the lead to 24-0.

Cohen Carter found Logan Walton in the third quarter to get Fryeburg Academy on the board. Walton caught the two-point conversion to cut the deficit to 24-8.

Keach ran in from 35 yards out to extend the lead to 30-8 later in the third quarter.

Brian Bilodeau took a punt 52 yards to the end zone and Leavitt had a 38-8 lead in the fourth quarter. Ian Garcia had a 5-yard touchdown run and Dane Cabral caught the two-point conversion to cap off the scoring.

MT. DESERT ISLAND 36, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 26: Spencer Laurendeau had four rushing touchdowns and one touchdown in the air to lead the Trojans (1-0) past the Falcons (0-1) in Bar Harbor.

Jyrrmal Yates and Kaden Paaso each had two touchdowns for Mountain Valley.

Spencer Laurendeau gave the Trojans a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. The Falcons responded with a 57-yard touchdown run from Kaden Paaso and a two-point conversion to go up 8-6 after one period.

Yates’ 15-yard touchdown reception gave the Falcons a 14-6 lead in the second quarter.

Laurendeau gave MDI a 20-14 lead with touchdown runs of 15 and 1 yards.

After the Trojans took the lead, Paaso took home the ensuing kickoff with an 85-yard run back. Mountain Valley couldn’t convert the two-point conversion and the game remained tied 20-20.

Laurendeau showed off his arm late in the second quarter, completing an 8-yard TD pass to Cal Hodgdon, and with a two-point conversion, MDI led 28-20 at halftime.

Laurendeau continued to find the end zone in the second half with his fourth rushing touchdown, giving MDI a 36-20 lead in the third quarter.

Yates scored a 6-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter but Mountain Valley couldn’t convert the two-point conversion.

DIRIGO 54, TELSTAR 12: Nathaniel Wainwright racked up three touchdowns and the host Cougars (1-0) pulled away in the third quarter for an 8-man Small School South victory over the Rebels (0-1) in Dixfield.

Wainwright ran for a pair of scores and picked up another one through the air. Caiden Skidgell tossed a 10-yard touchdown pass to Trevor Crosby; Dakota White and Owen Smith had touchdown runs of 15 and 20 yards, respectively, and Hudson Lufkin capped off Dirigo’s scoring by returning a fumble 40 yards for a TD.

The Cougars outscored the Rebels 26-0 in the third quarter after taking a 14-6 lead into halftime.

Brody Walker threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Kimball Coolidge and Telstar also had a 60-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

POLAND 46, MADISON 0: Damon Martin and Nick Aube returned interceptions for touchdowns to highlight the defensive effort in the Knights’ (1-0) win over the Bulldogs (0-1) in Madison.

Egan Whitten also intercepted a pass for Poland and brought it back 45 yards before being stopped. Isaac Ramsdell was in on 16 tackles, and Andre Derosier and Damion Gerding-Shaw had four tackles for losses.

Regan Cohen ran in two TDs in the second quarter. Quarterback Dylan Cook opened the scoring with a 9-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, and Landon Cooper capped the scoring with a 13-yard run in the fourth. Ramsdell led Poland’s balanced running attack with 70 yards.

Cook completed 4 of 6 passes. All four catches were made by Aube, who finished with 93 yards receiving.
