Congress previously passed the American Rescue Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, and the recent Fiscal Responsibility Act.
What is frustrating is that the people have only seen higher prices. If I could keep spending more money than my income, I would be in financial trouble, and this is exactly why our government is also in trouble.
As a retiree, I feel sorry for our children and their bleak future, as they will inherit a much poorer country.
