PARIS — Announcing Paris Public Library’s Program for Homeschooled Readers: Encouraging Diverse Readers; Exploring Different Kinds (Genres) of Books for Enjoyment, Grades 3-6. The focus will be on the library skill of exploring/reading different types of books: Realistic Fiction, Historical Fiction, Legends, Fantasy, Poetry, Information, and Biography.

Format: One genre will be introduced and defined monthly. An example will be read aloud by the librarian. Children will select a book from pre-selected options or their own explorations for the following session. They will be ready to talk about their books and engage in a discussion.

Sessions: The second Wednesday of each month at 1:30: Oct. 11, Nov. 8, Dec. 13, Jan. 10, Feb. 14, March 13, April 10, May 8.
