Rosalie (Jannace) Bernard
LEWISTON – Rosalie (Jannace) Bernard, 88, of Lewiston, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023 at Central Maine Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Fred Bernard.
She was born on Nov. 27, 1934 in Rumford, a daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude (O’Hearn) Jannace. She attended local area schools in Rumford.
Rosalie had been employed as a hostess for Happy Jacks Restaurant and also spent some time at the Greene IGA. She spent time volunteering for Margaret Chase Smith and was a trustee of the Oxford County Republican Party. She was the past president of the Emerald Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Noble and her husband Lance; her grandchildren Jason Larrabee and his wife Hillary and Angela Larrabee and companion Abe Wentworth; as well as her great-grandchildren Gavin, Ryan, Anthony and Hannah. She also leaves behind her sister, Sandra Perry and her husband David; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, Nov. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Fortin Group, 217 Turner St., Auburn. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 607 Sabattus St., Lewiston. A private burial will be held at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery in Augusta.
