JAY — The Jay-Nile Memorial Library is keeping the spooky vibe of Halloween going with the Paranormal Five, a family of ghost hunters that travels all throughout New England performing paranormal investigations and more. The ghost hunters will be at the library at 983 Main Street, in Jay, on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 5 p.m.

Paranormal Five are a family of ghost hunters that are dedicated to sharing their love of Maine and its history, both normal and paranormal, with others in their community.

The event promises a class titled “Paranormal 101”, where the paranormal investigators will give participants a crash course on what goes into searching for ghosts, specters or phantoms. After the lesson, the investigators will then lead participants on a ghost hunting expedition throughout the library.

The event is free for all ages, but space is limited. Please email aburbank@jaynileslibrary, or call [207] 645-4062, to secure a spot. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times in order to participate.

The Paranormal Five has a long history of hunting for ghosts in New England, recently visiting Wilson Castle in Proctor, Vermont, as well as Biddeford Community Center in Biddeford, Maine. They also host trivia events and more on their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/ParanormalFive

The library will continue to host other events, such as the monthly book club on Wednesday, Nov. 8, yoga story time on Thursday, Nov. 9, and story time with Sal the Dog on Friday, Nov. 17.

The library will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day. The library will also be closed from Thursday, Nov. 23 to Saturday, Nov. 25, for Thanksgiving.
