LEWISTON — Hearts of Hope, a charity that offers bereavement resources, educational programs, and support workshops for all those facing trauma and loss, plans to be at The Pub at Baxter Brewing, 120 Mill St., from noon to closing Monday, Dec. 18.
The organization is known for painting and decorating ceramic hearts and distributing them to individuals to empower them to discover healing, build resilience, and find hope.
All first responders involved in the tragedy of Oct. 25 have been invited to The Pub at Baxter to be given a heart and a time to gather as the community learns how best to move forward together.
The Teamsters Local Union No. 340 has donated $3,000 to feed the first responders that will join Hearts of Hope for the day, and will work to distribute this to as many recipients as possible.
First responders in the Lewiston-Auburn area can stop by The Pub to pick up their heart and have a meal and beverage. Friends and family are welcome.
