DURHAM – Bertrand Raoul Langelier, 80, passed away on Dec. 20, 2023, at his home in Durham. Born in Lewiston, on April 4, 1943, to Raoul and Marthe Langelier.

Bert’s childhood was spent in Lewiston and Hartford, Conn. As an adult, he served in both the Army and Navy during Vietnam before returning to Maine and making a career as a long-haul truck driver. His life and career were marked by hard and honest work.

In later years he enjoyed stamp collecting and loved working around the house, caring meticulously for his home, vehicles, and tractors.

He is survived by his sister Sylvia Belanger of Lewiston, brother Raymond Langelier of Union and several nephews and nieces.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the Rhoda family for their kindness and friendship with Bert.

Services will be private.
