Founder’s Rock
POLAND — There will be a re-dedication ceremony of the Founder’s Rock by the Daughter’s of the American Revolution at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. Dedication will take place at the Founder’s Rock which is located at 238 Dunn Road, just before the New Gloucester town line. All are welcome.
CLT meeting
AUBURN — Community Little Theatre will host its 72nd annual membership meeting on Monday, Sept. 26, at the Hilton Garden Inn. Doors open at 6 p.m. and meeting begins at 6:30. The meeting will be a chance for both current and new members to turn out and be part of a growing, vibrant organization. All are welcome.
Karen Mayo, Community Little Theatre’s board president, will chair the meeting. The evening’s program will include an update of the past year and the many change, as well as a quick preview of “Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella” directed by Mitch Thomas, chair of artistic development.
New board member nominations will take place on this evening.
Member enrollment will be available on the night of the event. Membership annual fees are $10 for individuals, $6 for students, $20 for families, and there is an option for a one-time $100 lifetime membership.
Subscriptions for the 72nd season are available, with savings of up to $2 per ticket. Buy the same seats for the great season lineup for $80. Tickets may be reserved at the box office at 783-0958 or on the theater’s website at www.laclt.com.
Duplicate bridge
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met Sept. 20 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in Flight A were: first, Fred Letourneau and Rosemarie Goodwin; second, Jeanine Kivus and Patricia Quinn; third, Linda Leotsakos and Jan Arey; fourth, Ron and Connie Reynolds; fifth, David Lock and Patricia Garcia.
Winners in Flight B were: first, Richard Balian and Peter Cummings; second, Roger Labbe and Larry Fortier. A quarterly Club Championship Game will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the center.
The club also met on Sept. 21 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners were: first, John Hackett and Leslie Buzzell; second, Ron and Connie Reynolds; third, Fred Letourneau and Rosemarie Goodwin. A quarterly Club Championship Game will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Schooner Estates. A partner is guaranteed at all local games. Consumer Council
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Local Consumer Council will hold its monthly meeting from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 28, at B Street Community Center, 57 Birch St.
The Consumer Council System of Maine represents fellow consumers in shaping public policy and mental health services. The group looks to collaborate with allies to find realistic solutions to local and statewide issues and to advance recovery oriented consumer driven mental health care and peer-run recovery opportunities. AUBURN — Roak Block senior housing will hold their annual fall “Craft and Bake” sale starting at 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct 1, at 156 Main St.

Decor workshop
AUBURN — Well-known Maine interior designer Lynne Maxfield-Cole will present a workshop titled “Aging in Place: A Journey through Your Home” at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St. The workshop will look at how to keep the home safe, user-friendly and beautiful as physical and medical needs change.

Lynne is a Universal Designer (Aging in Place Specialist) who focuses her experiential skills on homes needing modifications for anyone with any disability, regardless of age.
