- Museum L-A educator Joan Beal shows youngsters how the water wheels they made can do work. Beal will lead three hands-on “Science Saturdays” from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 15, 22 and 29, at Museum L-A, 35 Canal St. Children ages 9 through 13 will experiment with water wheels, magnets and will construct a mini-generator.
