Passenger Dana McKeen, left, of Canton, along with Mexico police Lt. Roy Hodsdon and Mexico firefighters, examine a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee that rolled off a straightaway on Route 2 at about 12:15 p.m. Saturday and landed on its roof on crushed rock at Naples Self Storage. McKeen, 26, said neither he nor driver Crystal Hall, 30, also of Canton, were injured. McKeen said they had just bought the sport utility vehicle and were driving west when the accident happened. Skid marks and tire gouges indicated the SUV spun 180 degrees, veered onto the gravel shoulder and flipped on the roof pointing east. Hodsdon estimated the damage at $3,000.
Driver Crystal Hall, 30, right, and passenger Dana McKeen, 26, both of Canton, wait for police to ask them how their newly-purchased 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee slid off Route 2 at about 12:15 p.m. Saturday and rolled onto its roof at Naples Self Storage in Mexico. Neither were injured, McKeen said.
