STANDISH — The following area students were recently inducted as members of the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Honor Society at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine.
Susan Attianese of Naples, a junior double-major in criminal justice and theology with a minor in chemistry, returned to the classroom after almost 30 years. She was previously an adjunct faculty member at Southern Maine Community College. After graduating, she would like to continue on to law school and represent people in domestic abuse situations. She has two teenagers and is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Lions Clubs.
Ashley Condon of Sumner is a junior nursing major and a resident advisor on campus. She volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity club and a local food pantry.
Allison Emond of Lewiston, a junior double-majoring in psychology and criminal justice, volunteered with the South Portland, Freeport and Gorham Police Departments, and worked with teens at the REAL School. Emond hopes to become a criminal psychologist working for the FBI.
Katelyn Rock of Peru is a junior nursing major and is a member of the dance team, Student Nurses Association and Habitat for Humanity. She has volunteered at blood drives, breast cancer walks and handicap skiing programs.
Lindsey DeRosa of Lewiston, a senior psychology major minoring in sociology, is president of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in psychology, and a member of the Psychology Club. She has volunteered at the YMCA and as a runner and fundraiser/volunteer for the Dempsey Challenge.
Kyle Neagle of Lisbon Falls, a senior biology major, is treasurer of Student Athlete Advisory Committee and plays on the baseball team. He has volunteered with youth sports camps and clinics, as well as with the college farm raising fresh produce for campus and an area food pantry. Neagle plans graduate studies in the medical field as a doctor of osteopathic medicine or a chiropractor with a master’s degree in clinical nutrition.
