NORWAY — The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865 and Hannah F. Richardson, Tent 19, held their regular meeting Oct. 26 at the home Kein Hansen.
In the absence of the secretary and guide, Marge Nihan and Elaine Lagueux were appointed pro tem. Thanksgiving and Christmas activities were discussed. Brenda Woods’ birthday was celebrated with a cake, ice cream and other goodies.
The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the home of Marilyn Jones in Norway. First nomination of officers will be held.
The Christmas party will be at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7. There will be a supper preceding the meeting and the Christmas party. Members are asked to bring a gift to exchange, as well as four small stocking gifts for shut-in members. Second nominations will be held. 2012 dues can be paid at this meeting.
