NORWAY — Norway Memorial Library Children’s Room will offer board games and card games on Saturday, Nov. 12, as part of the American Library Association’s National Gaming Day @ Your Library.

There will be games of Twister, Clue, Monopoly, Chess, Checkers and more. Children and parents are invited to play games together.

Many libraries are stocking their shelves with video games, planning board game competitions and participating in a national video game tournament. As a result, recreational library attendance by kids, teenagers, college students, families and seniors will grow.

Gaming is another example of how a new format can fulfill the desire to learn, play and read at the library. Learn more at http://ilovelibraries.org/gaming.
