For those who have been thinking it is time to get involved with a church again, to renew a relationship with God or to find a Bible study where they feel comfortable, Western Mountains Baptist Church on Route 27 welcomes all.

Western Mountains Baptist Church offers numerous opportunities, including Sunday morning service and other Bible studies offered throughout the week.

Regularly scheduled Sunday morning church services begin at 10 a.m. Earlier in the morning, there is a 9 a.m. adult Sunday school class and a women’s Bible study class. There are also two Sunday school classes for children held at 9 a.m., one for kindergarten to third grade and another for grades four to six. Additionally, there is a teen study for grades seven to 12.

Women studies held during the week include Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in Kingfield, Wednesday mornings at 9 a.m. in Kingfield, Wednesday afternoons at 4 p.m. in Freeman Township and Thursday afternoons at 1 p.m. in Kingfield.

Men’s studies are held Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at the church in New Portland. Men also meet monthly for a man-sized men’s breakfast with lots of bacon.

On Thursday evenings beginning at 6 p.m., there is a potluck dinner and then an adult Bible study in Freeman Township. Also on Thursday evenings, at 6:30 p.m., there is a youth group opportunity for grades 7-12, held at the Western Mountains Baptist Church.

If getting out to attend church or a Bible study is not possible, the church offers a CD Ministry that provides the weekly messages free of charge. Pastor Tom’s sermons are recorded and available by listening on the church’s website or by mail on request.
