LEWISTON — Kathie Leonard and Gene Geiger, co-chairs of the Lewiston Auburn Future Forum, will be the featured speakers at the Great Falls Forum lecture series at noon on Thursday, March 15, in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library. They will be presenting a talk entitled “What’s a ‘Future Forum’ and What’s it Doing in L/A.”
Leonard is the president and CEO of Auburn Manufacturing, has chaired the board of Central Maine Healthcare and currently serves as a director on the board of the Sun Journal.
Geiger is CEO of the Geiger Group and has served as chairman of the St. Mary’s Hospital board.
Both Leonard and Geiger have been active over the years in a variety of business and community leadership roles.
“The Lewiston Auburn Future Forum was established early in 2011 by the Lewiston Auburn Economic Growth Council to serve as an idea factory with a mission of helping L-A to become Maine’s most desirable community – the place to live, learn, work and play,” Geiger said.
At the upcoming Great Falls Forum talk Leonard and Geiger will describe the work that the Future Forum has done to date and will explain the group’s plan for enabling Lewiston-Auburn to realize its full potential.
Admission is free to all forum events, and no reservations are required. The Lewiston Public Library is at 200 Lisbon St.
Attendees are invited to bring brown-bag lunches, or to take advantage of the forum’s partnership with Guthries cafe and request one of the eatery’s custom-made gourmet sandwiches or salads to be delivered to the library in advance of the talk. Orders may be placed by calling Guthries at 376-3344. The menu is available at www.guthriesplace.com. Coffee, tea and bottled water will be available on site at the library.
