MEXICO — SmartCare Physical Therapy will offer a free class for the public Monday, April 23, on techniques to reduce work pain problems.
It will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Region 9 School of Applied Technology.
Dr. Lauren Hebert, the owner of SmartCare, has presented the program at more than 500 workplaces. Hebert, of Dixfield, is a physical therapist and orthopedics and ergonomics specialist.
“You are not made to sit at a desk all day,” he said recently. “Computer-desk work pain is epidemic.”
Among the ailments are headaches, neck pain, carpal tunnel, rotator cuff and tennis elbow.
Hebert said people attending the class will learn how to reverse these problems with simple work technique tricks.
