LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating several motor vehicle burglaries over the past few days.
In one case firefighter turnout gear was taken from a vehicle. In other cases vehicles were gone through but nothing appeared to be missing, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Tuesday.
The first call came in at 7 a.m. Saturday from Royal Drive, which is off Fayette Road/Route 17. Someone had broken into a garage and gone through a vehicle, Steward said. Nothing appeared to be taken.
A second call came in at 7:30 a.m. Saturday from another Royal Drive residence. A vehicle had been broken into and a garage light was left on. It didn’t appear anything was taken, Steward said.
An hour later, a third motor-vehicle burglary was reported on Fayette Road/Route 17. A bag of firefighter turnout gear was taken, including boots, pants, helmet and a flashlight, he said.
On Sunday, a fourth motor vehicle burglary was reported at 10 a.m. on Souther Road, which is near the other two streets. A global positioning system charger cord was stolen.
