DIXFIELD — American Legion Post 100 recently held their annual convention. Commander Brenda Dearborn was commended on a successful year in office and thanked for her hard work.
The new 2012-13 commander is Ken Bouchard.
New membership cards are in and available for payment and pick up at the hall on Mondays or Fridays from 4 to 9 p.m. or by calling Ed Ellis at 357-6437. Dues may also be mailed to the post. Dues are not going up at this time. New cards are also in for S.A.L.s members.
A public supper will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 7. Menu is pepperoni casserole, garlic bread, vegetables, coffee and tea.
On July 15 the group will hold their monthly Valve Cover Race. Doors open at 9 a.m. for practice and the race will start at 11 a.m. Cost is $7 to race the car, $2 of which will go into a jackpot at the end on the race season for a cast payout. People are also invited to come and watch a race.
