WATERVILLE — Marie A. Conant passed away peacefully at Mount St. Joseph’s on July 1.
She was born in Mexico, Aug. 4, 1937, the daughter of the late Elijah H. White Sr. and Helen M. (Worcester) White. Marie attended Dixfield schools and married Keith E. Conant Sr. on Feb. 14, 1953.
She is survived by five children, Anna Blodgett of Andover, Keith Conant Jr. and companion, Brenda, of Lewiston, Judith Houghton and husband, Peter, Linda Hutchinson and companion, James and Susan Metze and husband, Lester, all of Carthage; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five siblings, brothers, Elijah Jr. and companion, Sue, of Windham, Wayne and companion, Emmie, of Carthage and Ronald of Carthage; sisters, Gloria Ellis and husband, Ronald Sr. of Carthage, Meredith Robbins and husband, Randall, of Dixfield and Doreen Smith and husband, Dean, of Tennessee.
She was predeceased by her husband; daughter, Deborah; granddaughter Kaylee; and her parents.
Special thanks to all the staff on Keystone at Mount St Joseph’s who cared for her the last 6 years. The staff needs to be commended for going “above and beyond” the last three days of her life.
