Broomhall
MEXICO — Ray and Judy Whytock Broomhall of Mexico were treated to an open house on June 16 in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple was married on June 16, 1962, at the Mexico Congregational Church by the Rev. John Swanson. They were attended by Sally Matheson Martin, forever friend of Mrs. Broomhall, and Erlon “Bucky” Broomhall, brother of Mr. Broomhall. Ms. Martin traveled from Brewster, Mass., and Mr. Broomhall from Shaftsbury, Vt., to surprise the couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Broomhall have two daughters, Lynn Gould and husband, Michael, and Kathy Carey and husband, Edward Jr., who hosted the open house. They also have two granddaughters, Amanda Carey, who is a member of the USAF stationed at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey and was unable to attend, and Kristin Gould, a junior at Mt. Valley High School.
