WILTON – The 30th annual Wilton Blueberry Festival 10K run, 10 K walk, and Kids 1-mile race takes place Friday, Aug. 3.

Registration for the three races begins at 4 p.m. in the main lodge at Kineowatha Park.

The Kids 1-mile race starts at 6 p.m. from the entrance of Kineowatha Park on High Street. The race route follows High Street to and down Weld Road to Curve St,  then down Main St. to the monument downtown.

Main Street will be closed during the kid’s race from the Weld Road intersection to the monument for about 30 minutes, or the duration of the run, to ensure the safety of the young runners.

The 10K walk begins at 5:30 p.m. on High Street, and the 10K run begins at 6:30 p.m. on High Street at the entrance of Kineowatha Park.

The route for the 10K walk and run includes High Street to Weld Road, Pond Road to Route 2 to Lake Road over the Canal Street bridge to Canal Street behind the Bass-Wilson building.

 Trophies will be presented in a number of categories to winners of the 10K run and the Kids 1 mile. T shirts will be given to all registrants, while they last.

Registration forms are also available at the Wilton Town Office. Costs for the race are $14 for the 10K run and walk or $12 if pre-registered, and $12 for the kid’s 1 mile or $10 if pre-registered before Aug. 3.
