The Chicks with Sticks steel drum band will perform at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the “Music for Mavis” community gazebo in Turner. The Chicks will play tunes by Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley, along with traditional calypso and island favorites. They are, from left, Deanna Kersey, Laurie Swart, Diane Mawhinney and Jill Longstaff. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. If it rains, the concert will be moved to Turner Village Church.
