MONMOUTH — The Monmouth Museum has pulled together a collection of photographs and stories depicting what agriculture and farming was like in Monmouth in the 20th century.
Gone are the days when towns were self-sufficient, but dotting the landscape are abandoned apple orchards, decaying barns and other clues to the community’s rich history.
“Recalling Monmouth’s Greatest Turf and Farm Era” was published by the museum, thanks to the efforts of Lloyd McCabe, Larry Buggia, D.V.M., and Rudy Johnson. It was edited by Bobbie M. Bowler, Buggia, Johnson and McCabe.
