Monthly free luncheon
FARMINGTON — The Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. The menu for this month includes beef stew over noodles, rolls and butter and brownies.
Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. Call the church office at 778-0424 during the week or the church kitchen at 778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon to arrange delivery.
Knights free supper
JAY — This month’s free public supper will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Main Street. Doors open at noon and serving is from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Menu will be oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, vegetables and ambrosia for dessert. The friend of the supper this month is Two Sisters Catering.
