DIXFIELD — Monday night’s Board of Selectmen’s meeting was canceled due to the inclement weather.

The meeting, originally scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Ludden Memorial Library, will be rescheduled.

According to Jay Bernard, Dixfield’s emergency management director, the weather will include heavy winds, four to six inches of rain with localized flooding and downed power lines.

Bernard recommended that residents in the area stay in their homes and in the event of a power outage call Central Maine Power at 1-800-696-1000.
