DIXFIELD — Police apprehended a burglar on Saturday afternoon and broke up an underage drinking party on Friday night.
On Saturday, Sgt. Jeffrey Howe said he arrested a 14-year-old Dixfield boy on the charge of criminal trespass after receiving a call of a burglary in process at 2 p.m.
Howe said he arrived at the residence to learn that a neighbor had caught the youth trying to enter a garage and held onto him until Howe arrived.
At about 10:30 p.m. on Friday, he said officer Dustin Broughton received a call about a possible underage drinking party on Whittemore Drive.
Howe said that when Broughton arrived, he found the party in progress and arrested four youths. Three of them were charged with illegal possession of alcohol by minors, and the fourth was charged with providing a place for minors to consume alcohol.
He said Broughton hadn’t yet included the ages and towns of those arrested in his report.
