POLAND — Selectmen on Wednesday night approved hiring Rosemary Roy as interim town manager, effectively immediately.

It’s the third time she’s been named to the post.

The decision to give her a five-month contract was made after an executive session.

She succeeds Rosemary Kulow, who was terminated by the board on Oct. 16.

Roy was named assistant town manager in July. She served as administrative assistant to former Town Managers Richard Chick and Dana Lee, as well as interim Town Manager Don Gerrish.
