MEXICO — The Mexico Police Department responded to 31 incidents over the last week. Among them are the following:

Arrests

* At 7:21 a.m. Feb. 5, police responded to a felony violation complaint. According to Lt. Roy Hodsdon of the Mexico Police Department, the complaint stated that Joshua Glidden, 28, of Rockland was suspected of being in possession of a handgun, which is in direct violation of his parole conditions. Upon investigation, police recovered a .357 caliber handgun from Glidden and subsequently arrested him on a Class C charge of felony possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Glidden was given a court date of April 12 at Oxford County Superior Court.

Thefts

* A Cross Street resident reported at 10:09 a.m. Feb. 7 that sometime after Jan. 27 someone stole a Nintendo 3DS and a camcorder from her home. The stolen items have a combined value of $300. Police currently have suspects.

* A Hancock Street resident reported at 6:26 p.m. Feb. 1 that someone gained access to their checkbook and has been withdrawing money from their checking account. Police do not have an exact total of how much money was stolen and have no suspects.

* A Back Kingdom Road resident reported at 5:21 p.m. Jan. 31 that someone attempted to break into their garage. Nothing was stolen, but a window was broken during the attempt, causing $50 worth of damage.
