RUMFORD — The Stephens High School Class of 1950 will meet for their monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 18, at Gatch’s. All members and their guests are invited.
Softball field info meeting
OXFORD — The Oxford Recreation Department will host an informational meeting about the new girls’ softball field at Pismo Beach. The department has made several improvements to the area by clearing the land, building a retaining wall, hauling in loam and constructing the field itself.
Now the department is looking for help through people volunteering for a work weekend, donating materials or monetary donations to use for such things as fencing, dugouts, Snack Shack building, septic system and bathroom material.
A meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 25, at the Oxford Recreation Center. For more information contact Pam Lovely at 539-4563 or Michael Chammings at 539-4431.
Ludden Library book sale
DIXFIELD — Ludden Library has added a huge selection of juvenile books for sale in the ongoing Book Sale that is located in the basement area. Along with the books for younger readers there are mysteries, romances and a wide assortment of paperbacks. The price is whatever the purchaser can afford.
