WILTON — Police are investigating the theft of a full tank of oil from a vacant residence on Lyle Hall Road.

The property owner notified police Tuesday that his 250-gallon tank of No. 2 two fuel oil was empty, police Chief Heidi Wilcox said Wednesday morning. The loss is estimated at about $800.

Lyle Hall Road is a dead-end road off Temple Road in East Wilton.
