Best Chili Chefs Award: first, Fusion at the Ramada Inn, Lewiston; second, Fire House Grille, Auburn; third, Hurricane’s Cafe & Deli, Greene.

Best Chowder Chefs Award: first, DaVinci’s Eatery, Lewiston; second, Odd Fellows Home of Maine, Auburn; third, Hilton Garden Inn, Auburn.

Best Chili People’s Choice Award: first, Fire House Grille, Auburn; second, DaVinci’s Eatery, Lewiston; third, Rolly’s Diner, Auburn.

Best Chowder People’s Choice Award: first, Odd Fellows Home of Maine, Auburn; second, Village Inn, Auburn; third, DaVinci’s Eatery, Lewiston.

Best Display: first, Rolly’s Diner, Auburn; second, Hilton Garden Inn, Auburn; third, DaVinci’s Eatery, Lewiston.

The Village Inn took second place in the people’s choice for best chowder category. The taste challenge will benefit Longley Elementary School and the Green Ladle scholarship fund.

Fournier said he has come to the challenge every year for the past 10 years.
